1Why does my child need a paediatrician?

Paediatricians are doctors who specialise in managing your child's health, including physical, behavioural, and developmental growth, from birth to puberty. A paediatrician is a vital part of your little one’s childhood. They can treat both acute and chronic conditions, helping you to recognise and manage your child’s healthcare needs.

2Do I need a referral to see Dr Koekemoer?

You do not need a referral to book an appointment, however, as a new parent, you may be referred to Dr Koekemoer by your GP, Gynaecologist or someone in your community. Some Medical Aid plans do require a referral to a specialist, please confirm with your Medical Aid.

3What are your consulting hours?

Consultations start at 9:30 in the morning and end at 15:00 in the afternoon. Dr Koekemoer consults from Life Flora Hospital as well as Netcare Krugersdorp hospital.

4What happens at the first consultation?

Depending on the age of your child, the first consultation will involve reviewing your child’s medical history and symptoms. Several tests and examinations may also be done to assess your child’s overall health.

5What is your billing policy?

Dr Koekemoer is contracted with most medical aid schemes. Please contact the different practices to find specific details with regards to billing.
